This film follows the journey across Africa of two wild lovers who seem like lost children: Robert and Isabelle. At first, the tall, taciturn red-haired man and the radiant young woman set out in the footsteps of Rimbaud. But they soon lose their way in botanical gardens. In the end, this tragic yet funny love story turns into a modern- day Tristan and Iseult.
