For 20-year-old Fred, falling in love with a movie star is almost ordinary, he lives under the projection booth of the old Alhambra cinema. But when that star turns out to be Roxane, the wife of the famous filmmaker Bar- onski, who may also be his father, his life turns upside down. She takes him into her world of wealth and illu- sion, and he falls deeper into a story that feels like a film. Until reality and fiction collapse, and Fred ends up in hospital, with Roxane desperately trying to reach him.
