THE SIXTH MAN

Dominique Loiseau, a young detective from the gang squad, was implicated in a case involving bent Coppers in 1986. In spite of his pleas of innocence, the Police Services Inspection delivered a damming dossier on Loiseau to the judge. Loiseau was sentenced to twelve years in prison. However, following the verdict, a strange rumour persisted in police milieus that Loiseau was in fact innocent and had been stitched-up by French Internal Affairs.  Acquitted in 1993 by President Mitterrand, Loiseau has one obsession: prove his innocence to the world. And so began a lengthy counter-inquiry.
