Peter Mackie Burns' second feature Rialto has been selected to play In Competition at Venice Film Festival 2019

‘Rialto’ written by Mark O’Halloran and directed by Peter Mackie Burns will have it’s World Premiere in Competition in Orizzonti at Venice Film Festival this autumn.

Starring Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Tom Glynn-Carney, Monica Dolan and Michael Smiley.

The film was produced by Alan Maher and John Wallace of Cowtown Pictures (Ireland) and Tristan Goligher and Valentina Brazzini of The Bureau.
It was based on the stage play ‘Trade’ by Mark O’Halloran who adapted it for cinema. This is Peter Mackie Burns’ second feature after the critically acclaimed Daphne in 2017 which premiered at Rotterdam and SXSW starring Emily Beecham and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor.
