Arthur teaches history in Paris. He lives alone, having broken up with Claire. He is a sensitive man, full of doubts and anxiety. He decides to travel to Lisbon to meet a famous historian to help him achieve his thesis. Claire happens to be the ideal person to travel with him and she decides to come along. But the journey turns into another stab in their relationship, which had not yet exhausted all its potential.
